November 2007 Agility Sanctioned A Match
PAWS FOR
APPLAUSE AGILITY TEST-DRIVE
April 7, 2008
At the club
meeting on April 7, 2008, we all met at Paws for Applause
Agility School for a Test Drive. We all brought our dogs and
had a great time! Bonnie Norris, owner of the school, set up
"beginner" stations and had helpers showing us how best to
introduce the agility equipment in the most positive manner to
our dogs. The equipment is designed to build confidence,
balance, perception, core strength, flexibility and FUN!
They had ladders, balance balls, core disc's, perch's, baby
hoop's, table's, baby see-saws, baby dog walks,
baby tunnels, baby chutes, travel planks, just to name a few.
Everyone had such a great time, including the dogs! There were
lots of folks who had probably never thought about trying
agility... And all of the dogs did such a fantastic job....
Bonnie couldn't say enough nice things about our Group and our
Dogs...It was a Very Cool night.......

AGILITY SANCTIONED A MATCH
November 23, 2007
The club held a Sanctioned A Agility Match according to
AKC rules to qualify to host a sanctioned AKC agility trial. We
held the event at Dallas Dog Sports, thanks to Patti Drom, and
had tons of helpers from the club. It was a great day (cold,
but fun!) and we fulfilled all the necessary requirements! Now
we're licensed to host AKC agility trials!
